I've lived in Washington State for almost 20 years now, and in that time, my love of Mexican food has become little more than a distant memory.  Almost without fail, every restaurant I tried, every combination platter I ordered was somehow--impossibly though it seemed--turned out to be even more bland than the last.  I didn't consciously decide to stop going out for Mexican food, guess I just grew tired of the disappointment and stopped trying...probably explaining why it has taken me almost 6 years to finally try this place.  Honestly, I tried to talk my friend out of eating here...even a frozen pizza promised more pizazz than another Pacific Northwest "Mexican" Restaurant.

I couldn't have been more wrong!  From the moment I walked in, I knew this was going to be different.  The chips and salsa were a promising hint of what was in store, although the chips would have been better hot.  Both salsas were bold and full of flavor and the hotter of the two was perfect.

I ordered a combo platter with a chimichanga--a flour tortilla stuffed with green chili and pork, rolled into a burrito and then deep fried before being smothered with green enchilada sauce and cheese--a couple of shredded beef tacos, and my all-time favorite, a chili relleno--a large green chili that's been cored and seeded, stuffed with cheese, then dipped in an egg batter and fried.  The combo came with the traditional sides, refried beans and seasoned rice.

The prices were great for the amount of food on the plates (yes, plural, plates) and a little less than most entrees found in our little tourist trap...er...town.

But the VALUE had little to do with the price or the quantity or the ambience of this wholly authentic restaurant.  The amazing value is in the fact that every single bite was packed full of spicy, authentic, genuine Mexican flavor.  Halfway through my meal I was full and should have gotten a take-out box...but instead, I sat there and ate.  And I ate.  And then I ate some more...this was EASILY the best Mexican meal I've had in 20 years and one that I can't wait to have again!

My family just dined here for the first time. We plan to spend a lot more time in this area in the future and are checking out all the places. We are Mexican food lovers and looks like there are two places in town. This place is not much to look at from the outside, but is close to everything and has a large parking lot. It stands out with it's bright green color and has a very pleasant feel on the inside. I love the water feature in the middle of the room.

I was happy to find this place had vegetarian options and that my server was very helpful and knowledgeable about the ingredients in the food. She was able to make my food to my specification and even brought me extra salsa per my request. My mother said she would have preferred more veggies, but I thought mine was delicious. Chips and salsa were tasty.

Came in at dinner time on a Saturday night and the place was a little less than half full. We were quickly seated and barely had the menus open before we had chips and salsa and our drink orders taken.
The salsa was thin but had good flavor. Once my beer (Space Dust rocks!) showed up, our order was taken. I'm having my old standby for a new Mexican place, chicken fajitas. My wife is having a boring bean beef burrito.
When the food arrived, we noticed that the portion sizes were a good size. The fajitas were sizzling and served with 3 tortillas. The rice and beans were good and the fajitas were lightly seasoned, which was OK.
The burrito was ordered with sauce on the side, which was perfect. However the ground beef had a flavor that was a little off putting and we would not order it again. Maybe the shredded beef would be better.
My evaluation of the overall experience is extremely average. Not gross and not great.

I have been to many Mexican restitutions and this was the worst experience I have ever had. Bartender had no idea what he was doing. Paidtopdollar for a cadillac  pours 3/4 way and topped with grand marniend he went up a plastic bucket filled with margarita mix and topped with grand marnie. No mixing at all

Stopped in cause the other Mexican restaurant was closed.  Decent place. Clean. Waitress not the fastest and everything took a long time. Food was par. Will not repeat.
